A hiking world waits for its discovery
1200 kilometers of footpaths circles around the
Zugspitz -Region

Though the mountains various wild water rapids and gorges find their way - a number of them made a popular tourist attraction for visitors, with tunnels and bridges.

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen the “Partnachklamm” attracts you to a very special walk: left and right of the cliffs the viewer sees the gorge spectacularly rise 80 meters up into the sky. From up above, small waterfalls lead into the river, which can be seen as bizarre ice sculptures in the winter. Visitors are amazed and thrilled by the “torch- hikes”, where you can see a very something very unique. However the Höllentalklamm can only be visited in the summer. The gorge in the neighboring town Grainau, which ice water ice water leads its way through the hard, massive rock of the Zugspitze is open from Mai to October. Spectators can enjoy this amazing gorge on a 1.5 kilometer long foot path, which consists of narrow docks, cliff stairs and lighted tunnels.

Alpenwelt Karwendel- Area around Mittenwald

An astonishing piece of nature attracts mainly families in the alpine world of Karwendel to the town Mittenwald. Here since recently you can travel through the Leutschklamm.
An approximately 960 meters long steel dock finds its way through this magnificent gorge, which is also called the “gorge of the ghosts”. On two new paths can see the amazing creation of mother nature, with the waterfalls and the roaring rapids and can explore the area around it. Next to the paths, little signs carried by ghosts and gimlets inform you about the various plants and animals that populate this part of Germany. The alpine world of Karwendel does not only provide you with tours in and around the gorge of the ghosts, but also with a variety of traveling paths and excursions to the wonderful alpine lakes or the difficult Mittenwalder climbing route. Some of Germanys >2000 meter mountains invite trained climbers and travelers. Karwendelspitze, Soiernspitze, Schöttlkarspitze and the Krottenkopf. For the more comfortable, you can also take the Karwendelbahn up to 2244 meters and if you are lucky spot one of the rare eagles that circle in the sky high above the peak.

Situated only 45 minutes by car south of Munich, respectively 25 km north of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Murnau is the centre of the holiday region around lake
Staffelsee, a piece of "picture book" Bavaria. Discover the original sites of
Expressionist painting, traces of the "Blue Rider"(a group of painters), Kandinsky
in the Münter-Haus (Known also as the "Russian House") and the Schloßmuseum
with the worldwide biggest Münter collection. The pedestrian mall, lined with colourful
listed houses, sets the scene for shopping with mountain view.
