Though the mountains various wild water rapids and gorges find their way - a number of them made a popular tourist attraction for visitors, with tunnels and bridges.
In Garmisch-Partenkirchen the “Partnachklamm” attracts you to a very special walk: left and right of the cliffs the viewer sees the gorge spectacularly rise 80 meters up into the sky. From up above, small waterfalls lead into the river, which can be seen as bizarre ice sculptures in the winter. Visitors are amazed and thrilled by the “torch- hikes”, where you can see a very something very unique. However the Höllentalklamm can only be visited in the summer. The gorge in the neighboring town Grainau, which ice water ice water leads its way through the hard, massive rock of the Zugspitze is open from Mai to October. Spectators can enjoy this amazing gorge on a 1.5 kilometer long foot path, which consists of narrow docks, cliff stairs and lighted tunnels.
