Landscape conservation at Lake Eibsee

You can help protect the environment too!

The natural gem that is Lake Eibsee, with its crystal-clear blue water at the foot of the Zugspitze, lies in the middle of a landscape conservation area. The area around Lake Eibsee is not only a unique recreational area for young and old, but above all a habitat for flora and fauna that is worthy of protection!

In addition to its recreational function, the purpose of the protected area is to preserve the ecological balance, in particular the water and nutrient balance of the lake, the vegetation of the shore areas, the adjacent mountain forest, and the water quality.

Due to the high number of visitors to Lake Eibsee, there is considerable pressure on nature. This requires responsible behavior so that this unique landscape can be preserved for future generations.
